One Town, Two Plumbing Worlds

Coventry covers more ground than any other town in Rhode Island — 64 square miles split between the developed eastern villages on city services and the rural western half where almost every house runs on a private well and septic system. The plumbing work changes completely when you cross Flat River Reservoir, and our trucks come loaded for either side of town.

On the east side — Anthony, Washington, Tiogue — you're mostly looking at municipal water and sewer, older cast iron and copper, and the kind of repair work you'd see in any built-up Rhode Island village. West of the reservoir — Greene, Hopkins Hollow, Summit, Rice City — it's wells, pressure tanks, septic-safe drain work, and longer runs of PEX or PVC in newer rural builds.

What That Means When You Call

If you're on the eastern side, we typically arrive ready for sewer-camera work, main shut-off issues, frozen exterior hose bibs, and standard fixture or water-heater swaps. If you're west of the reservoir, the truck shows up with well-pump pullers, pressure-tank fittings, sediment-filter housings, and septic-friendly drain-clearing equipment that won't shock a leach field. Things Worth Knowing Before You Call in Coventry

Driveway access for the rural side: if you're out past Greene on a long unpaved drive, let us know when you book — we'll send the truck loaded for a longer service window and bring extra well-pump rope.

Well-water testing: we don't run state water tests ourselves, but if RIDOH testing has flagged your well for bacteria, iron, or manganese, we can install the filtration or UV that matches the results.

Older Anthony cast iron: if your drains are slow on the east side and the house is pre-1965, descaling and a camera pass usually beats yet another snake-out. We'll tell you straight whether it's worth descaling or whether the stack is past saving.

Getting To You

Travel Times Across a Big Town in Coventry

Our base is in Johnston, so we hit Anthony and Washington in about 25 minutes off Route 117 in normal traffic. Greene and Hopkins Hollow are a longer pull — usually 40 to 50 minutes — and we plan rural-Coventry calls accordingly so you're not waiting on a same-day slot that was never realistic.

For emergencies on the western side, we'll be straight with you: if there's a closer plumber who can be there in 20 minutes for a burst pipe, we'll tell you. For scheduled or larger jobs out there, the travel is worth it.
