3. Estimates and Pricing

Free Estimates: We provide free, no-obligation estimates for most services. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise specified.

Pricing: All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars. Final pricing may vary based on:

  • Actual work required upon inspection
  • Materials and parts needed
  • Accessibility and complexity of the job
  • Emergency service fees (if applicable)

We provide transparent pricing and will discuss any changes to the estimate before proceeding with work.

4. Payment Terms

Payment Methods: We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Payment is due upon completion of work unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Deposits: For large projects, we may require a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel after work has begun, but may be refundable if cancellation occurs before work commences, subject to our cancellation policy.

Late Payments: Accounts not paid within 30 days of invoice date may be subject to late fees and interest charges as permitted by Rhode Island law.

5. Warranties and Guarantees

Workmanship Warranty: We guarantee our workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of completion, unless otherwise specified in writing. This warranty covers defects in workmanship only.

Parts and Materials: Parts and materials are covered by manufacturer warranties. We will assist you in filing warranty claims with manufacturers when applicable.

Warranty Limitations: Our warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Damage from natural disasters or acts of God
  • Pre-existing conditions not addressed in the original work
  • Work performed by other contractors
  • Normal wear and tear
6. Emergency Services

We offer emergency plumbing and heating services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency service calls may be subject to additional fees, which will be discussed before work begins.

Emergency services are provided to address urgent situations that pose immediate risk to health, safety, or property. Non-emergency calls scheduled during off-hours may be subject to emergency rates.

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation: You may cancel scheduled services with at least 24 hours notice without penalty. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Refunds: Refunds for completed work are considered on a case-by-case basis. If you are not satisfied with our work, please contact us immediately. We will make every effort to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

No-Show Policy: If we arrive for a scheduled appointment and you are not available, you may be charged a service call fee.

8. Liability and Insurance

Kwik Plumbing RI is fully licensed and insured in the state of Rhode Island. We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance as required by law.

Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services, except as required by law.

Property Damage: While we take every precaution to protect your property, you are responsible for moving or protecting personal belongings before we begin work. We are not responsible for damage to items not disclosed to us before work begins.

9. Permits and Code Compliance

We obtain all necessary permits for work that requires them under Rhode Island and local building codes. Permit fees are included in our estimates unless otherwise noted.

All work is performed in compliance with applicable building codes, plumbing codes, and safety regulations. We will arrange for required inspections when necessary.

10. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure efficient service, customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about the problem or service needed
  • Ensuring safe access to the work area
  • Moving or protecting personal belongings in the work area
  • Being present or providing access during scheduled appointments
  • Disclosing any known hazards or special conditions
  • Providing payment as agreed
